Sue’s remarkable journey is one of true female inspiration. Her entrepreneurial business began at the heart of adversity. Aged 55, five years ago Sue was recovering from the profound grief of losing her husband. Having dedicated many years to nursing him throughout his long-term illness Sue faced the challenging task of finding herself again. After forty years of a happy marriage and working alongside her husband for over thirty years in fashion wholesale, Sue had not only lost her husband but also her best friend and business partner leaving an empty void of sadness.  Her road back to normality was far from easy as a mother of two grown children. Sue wanted to be a positive role model instilling courage, work ethic and achievement.
 
She thought about, what her husband Jass, would tell her to do.  She could hear Jass’s, voice saying ‘Come-on Sue, pick yourself up keep smiling and be resilient, life is for the living.’ That was the moment Sue had an epiphany understanding that life goes on, no matter how tough it has become she had to find a new direction.
 
Beyond her unwavering love for her family, Sue harboured a deep love, for diamonds.  Since childhood Sue has enjoyed creating and designing it didn’t matter if it was flowers, drawing, clothing design or stringing together beads, she was passionate. During her marriage, her hobby continued, relishing the opportunity to contribute to the design of her own jewellery collection, meticulously sourcing the finest diamonds for her jewels.  Realising this was a true passion she decided to turn her hobby of diamonds and magnificent gemstones, into a small business. With the support of her two children, family and friends, Sue embarked on a new business venture and founded ‘SSJ Diamond Limited’.
 
After Covid Sue, dedicated the next 12 months to researching the market, and travelling to the Far East, Africa, and India, which led to Sue establishing a diamond and gemstone manufacturing studio. Her ultimate dream is to produce elegant, exquisite diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires of outstanding quality, design, sparkle, and affordability, meeting the consumer demand without compromising production. Her team specialises in designing and developing certified lab diamonds and gemstones. Whilst also, catering to clients who prefer the natural allure of earth diamonds.
 
At the heart of Sue’s business is her warmth, smile, and commitment to creating bespoke designs, for every client. Each piece is crafted to reflect the unique personality of the client, ensuring that the cut and design are timeless and luxurious.  Sue says "Diamonds last forever and so does true Love.’ When jewellery is passed down within families, for generations the story behind the jewellery lives on and carries the memory, take the Titanic for example, in the memory of Rose."

Sue's sources all individual lab and earth diamonds for bespoke designs from the finest suppliers across the globe. Equally for jewellery and gemstones, the pieces are selected from leading manufacturers internationally.

Sue’s journey from personal loss to entrepreneurial triumph is a testament to her indomitable spirit, creativity and passion.  Sue ultimate wish is that her clients become part of her extraordinary journey by discovering the perfect diamond or gemstone design that resonates with their true individuality. She hopes to create that sparkle in every woman’s life for her engagement, wedding or anniversary gift.
